This is a scam! I am in the process of trying to get my money back. On top of it, it's an international transaction so my bank account gets nickel and dimed to death. SCAM SCAM SCAM. I hate the way these b@st@ards prey on the people who really need money for college. I'll pay interest on a student loan for 50 years rather than try to get money from the Feds. And you can't get money from the Feds unless you are black, hispanic or indian. Sorry, I'm a white american! The government always finds a way to screw you!

Why is it when the economy crashed in 2008 our banks survived because we have some of the best bank regulaters in the world. When it comes to the internet there are no regulaters that can quickly take care of scam companies like grantsmoney.com. The Canadia Anti-Fraud devision knows of this scam internet site but right now it is a long and tedious investigation. The Federal Trades Comision knows of this scam internet site but they have yet to make a move on grantsmoney.com. So for now all I can say to who ever reads this message is BEWARE of grantsmoney.com. They work under numerous other sites with the same address. One or more of which is a porn site.

I am lost for words. Most of the people who have made complaints against grantsmoney.com lost the first months membership fee of $63.00. I don't pay the bills, my wife does so I havn't been looking at our Visa statements. She overlooked the payment on our visa for eight months not knowing that it was a membership to a sight that I did not aprove of. I just happened to look at our last statement and found out that these scum scammers have hit me for $63.00 per month for the last eight months. If I hadn't looked at my statement I would have been paying these scum for who knows how long. I phoned visa and asked there fraud department if they had heard of this web site (grantsmoney.com) and they told me that they had. I asked why they didn't flag me a thumbs up when they could clearly see that I was having monthly deduction taken from known theves. I was told it was because they cant keep track of the millions of scams on the internet. But realy when you think about it why should they care iether. Credit card companies can look the other way and make another 19% off of you again. Where does this garbage end. Repuatble internet sites know about these scammers and take there money knowing that soon these sites will be scamming honest people using there domain. Credit card companies know of these web sites and look the other way knowing they will take another 19% out of your pocket. We might as wel all jump on the same band wagon and be a bunch of crooks and thieves.

I did not get caught by these fools Because I used google to my advantage always remember to input the website name and reviews. And wow it show you a list of sites that tells you all about the scam from those that were scammed.

As for everyone wondering why Google allows these site #1 if it on the right hand side its because they pay to have there ad there and Google is out there to make money also and they don't charge you for using there search and they about 80% of their products so they make their money from those paying to place ads.
Or if it is in the left column it is do to the Bot that Google uses to get info into there database and all it reads is the code behind websites and does not care what it is do to it being a piece of software God Bad or anything in between.

As far as those that found the add on a different site such as isohunt.com its because they get some money from google to use ad-sense and it is a random pull from the ads that Google is paid to send out so all in all its about the money just as in every aspect of life.
Just remember that even for the real grants its about the money (with a few exceptions)those putting up the grants get a nice big fat Tax break so that they may keep more of their money.

I talked to the people you shoud have been talking too. RCMP, media, Visa, Master Card,and Yahoo and BBB. THEY HAVE ALL BEEN GIVEN EVIDENCE OF YOUR BLOGS. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS do a google search of "name of website or company" and scam before you spend money online. And if you're scammed, always immediately phone your credit company for a chargeback. They actually penalize the offending company a percentage for chargebacks so it actually costs the scammers money when you get the CC companies to give you back the money.

I called 10 minutes after clicking on the scam and the rep insisted that I call the next day. She refused to cancel for me then. SCAM part 1.

Then they expect you to forget or do nothing about it. SCAM part 2.

I called and refered to refunds@grantsmoney.com and after threatening BBB and class action law suit, they gave me $40. SCAM part 3.

I did get the $40 refund. Called for the balance and they put me on hold for 10+ minutes each time I asked for a manager, I said, tell your manager that you have an irate, that is going to the BBB and talking about class action lawsuit. They put me on hold each time (I have handsfree, so just went about my business...) and no one would answer, and I'd hang up and get another one. I got some satisfaction out of pissing them off by explaining I can trace their extention through their isp (which I found on another site). I can't do that but these ppl don't know that. I could never work for a company that knowingly has a plan to scam ppl. Karma, what karma... these women have no souls.

my mother got scamed from these scam artists and she to only seen the 1.95 and never seen the other but she got charged 2.88 i work it out and that would be 1.95 plus tax and if u try it is 48% try it on a calculator 1.95 times 48% plus equals and its 2.88 and then on top of that 63.77 so were trying to get a refund see how that gos lol but i seen they were useing cnn cnbc and cbs logos on there site so me the ass i am i contacted cnn to see what they have to say havent heard from them yet but i just sent it like and hour ago but i will come back and update i hope cnn will look into it they could even sue them if there useing there logo to promote a scam if there not sponcers but i really dont think there sponcers or even knoe there name is not the site lol

Everyone scammed - don't take it lying down. here is what you can do:

1. Call your credit card company. Ask them to dispute the charge. Give your reasons.
2. They are NOT protected by any agreement you agree to since the spirit of the agreement was to perpetuate fraud. Take them to court and I bet 100% they will not show up to fight it. Go to small claims consumer court and you don't even need a lawyer.

Future: Always google even a site name before you try these offers. And in general, if it's too good to be true, it is a scam.

My story is the same as you all. I saw the add in July in the Google adds on the right side of my Facebook page. It seemed legit and like many I didn't read the fine prints... I hapilly paid the 1.95$...only to find myself being re-directed to the Canadian Gouverment site...which, of course, is FREE to begin with! When I realised the scam I back tracked and "screen printed" every step of the transaction, as proof in case I would get over charged. And yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, the MasterCard shows I have been billed an extra 57.61US$ for my trouble. GRRRRR!!!...
You better believe I will tell MasterCard to block the payement.
I am so sorry to see so many here have been fooled like I have... For each of us who have been made aware the hard way, how many out there, this very minute, are getting scamed just like we were?...
